The keuring in Quebec was held at the facility ‘Les Ecuries Diabolo’. All classes were held in the indoor arena due to weather circumstances.
High score of the keuring was awarded to the Harness mare Little Miss Kelly (Graaf Kelly x Bo keur by Uromast), Owner: Sebastien Boutin and Sophie Moore. This sufficiently developed mare has a correct topline and a vertical, well muscled neck. In trot she is powerful with very good articulation and suspension. She has good action in her foreleg and a carrying, powerful use of her hind leg. With 75 for conformation and 85 for her movement, she earned her ster predicate today.
Two Jumper mares scored a 70 for their conformation, Quinty Z (Quintessence x Toblesse ster keur elig PROK by Indoctro) and Grenadine des Jardins (Van Gogh keur x Nadine by Lux-Z), Owner/Breeder: Haras des Jardins, S.E.N.C. Both mares did not free jump today, because they both had foals at side. The correctly built Grenadine des Jardins was awarded with the high score adult Jumper, due to her balanced canter.
Best Jumper foal was awarded to Opaline des Jardins (Glasgow v/h Merelsnest x Grenadine des Jardins by Van Gogh), Owner/Breeder: Haras des Jardins, S.E.N.C.. This well proportioned filly has a good topline, a long wither, well shaped croup and correct, lean legs. Her canter is lightfooted and balanced , with good length of stride. Opaline earned the leading score for the country so far with 76 for conformation and 78 for her movement.
2nd placed was the well developed son of Zirocco Blue, called Olyzir ZLD (Zirocco Blue VDL x Quinty Z by Quintessence), Owner/Breeder: Alain Bergeron, Les Ecuries Diabolo. Olyzir showed a well balanced canter with sufficient length of stride.
