Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro set new World Record
Saturday afternoon, the Grand Prix was held at the World Cup finals in Lyon. Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro (Negro x Maifleur keur by Gershwin, breeders Joop and Maartje Hanse) not only won the class but also established a new world record with their score of 87.129%, breaking their own record of 85.94%.
In second place were past title holder Helen Langehanenberg and the erkend stallion Damon Hill NRW with a score of 83.343%. Edward Gal with a hot but obedient Glock’s Undercover (Ferro x Mimosavrouwe keur pre prest sport/dr by Donnerhall, breeder Marianne Hendriksen) scored 80.029% for third place.
The approved stallion Glock’s Johnson TN (Jazz x Roxane keur pref sport/dr by Flemmingh, breeder Piet van de Vleuten) and Hans Peter Minderhoud showed a very expressive performance, which was rewarded with a good score of 73.77% and good for a sixth place.
Two Gribaldy offspring finished in 7th and 8th place. Danielle Heijkoop and Kingsley Siro (d. Lady by Hemmingway, breeder H. Geurts) finished with a score of 72.857% and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Unee BB (d. Ilarichta keur pref by Dageraad, breeder JJH Spronck) with 72.686%.
