Date: 9/19/2022
Saint-Agapit, QC
Host: Alain Bergeron, Les Ecuries Diabolo
Jury: Bart Henstra & Arie Hamoen
Our stop today at Les écuries Diabolo concludes the Canadian leg of the 2022 KWPN NA Keuring Tour. Our well traveled jury has seen no less than 108 entries at 4 different sites! Impressive numbers and a great job to everyone!
Thank you to Alain Bergeron for hosting us again this year. We were met with this cheerful group of participants today. Congratulations to all of our participants for a successful day.
Please remember, that the jury’s remarks are for a snapshot in the lifetime of a horse.
Not all first premium or ster horses are mentioned in “The Report from the Road”; only those horses that really stand out to the jury.
Dressage Horses for Studbook/Ster 4-7 YO:
Must B A Dream – (Dream Boy x Endelin E Elite IBOP D-OC s. Spielberg)
Owner: Vicky Chretien
Breeder: Canadream Farm
This tall gelding, Must B A Dream is a well developed and long lined dressage horse, with a long, well shaped and well positioned neck and high withers. He could be stronger in the loin connection, and has a somewhat sloping croup. In movement he displays a clear and active walk, a supple and uphill trot, with good suspension and reach. He has a 9! canter; it is powerful, uphill and engaged with a lot of ability for collection. He is also very focused, he has a great connection in the bridle and appears very workable. He earned his ster and IBOP predicate today with a good score of 82.5.
Jumping Horses for Studbook/Ster 3 YO:
O’Artemis Royale – (Flipper d’Elle x Jamaica TCS s. Warrant)
Owner/ Breeder: Alice Deblats
This 3 yr old mare is long lined and correctly built. She has sufficient muscling in her topline, a somewhat sloping croup and correct legs. In jumping we see a light footed canter, an upward and quick take off with good bascule and good opening of the haunches. She seems to be athletic and careful. A consistent and convincing performance over the fences earns her the score of 80 and a passing IBOP. Congratulations to this new ster and keur eligible mare, O’Artemis Royale.
Jumping Horses for Studbook/Ster 4-7 YO:
North Riocco ZLD – (Zirocco Blue VDL Keur x Rio Bella SD s. Rio Grande)
Owner/ Breeder: Alain Bergeron
This tall, long lined mare has well developed withers and a long croup. She is somewhat heavy boned. She has a long strided canter with a powerful take off, good technique and scope, but she could be more light footed and supple. She earns her Ster and IBOP predicates today.
