Stallion Services Auction

The owners/agents of the stallions listed below have very generously donated one stallion service to be auctioned to the highest bidder. Proceeds will go toward the KWPN-NA Awards Program (sport and keuring). Take this opportunity to select and bid on one or more stallion services from this list of activated KWPN Approved and Licensed stallions.

One KWPN-NA breeding surcharge is included in the purchase price. In the case of multiple pregnancies, a mare surcharge will be payable to the KWPN-NA. Additional fees may also be due to the stallion owner on the additional pregnancy. Please consult with the stallion owner as to specifics.

There will be a five minute grace period after bidding closes to process all bids received during the last (1) minute of the auction. Be sure to refresh your page!

Auction will open January 18th, 2010 and will end at 9:00 p.m. EST on February 17th, 2010.
Winning bidders must be a KWPN-NA member. Bidders may be full, associate or youth members.
Auction will be conducted by Internet bidding only. However, the KWPN-NA office can function as a proxy and bid for you if special circumstances prohibit a bidder from doing so on-line. Please get this set up with the office ahead of time.
Members are able to sign up and bid on-line. Bidders must sign up by noon on February 17th, 2010.
Foals resulting from these breedings must be eligible for KWPN registration and are subject to all KWPN-NA rules and regulations.
Bids may be raised in increments of a minimum $25.00.
The stallion services offered in this auction are intended for the 2010 breeding season (arrangements must be made and approved by stallion owner/breeding agent for the use of the breeding dose beyond the 2010 breeding season.)
Should the bidder’s designated mare die or be deemed unfit to enter into the breeding service contract, the bidder has the option to substitute an acceptable mare, or forfeit the bid for that stallion service.
Breedings are not transferable to another person, except with express permission from the stallion owner/agent.
The winning bidder’s semen will not be shipped until the stallion owner’s contract has been signed and until the stallion owner has received notification from the KWPN-NA office that financial obligations have been met.

Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn. There will be no refunds given except in the case a stallion should become unavailable for breeding. There will be no exceptions!

Live Foal Guarantee

Minimum bid is $600.
This bid will cover all booking and initial collection fees for the donated stallion.
The winning bidder will be responsible for shipping and container fees in addition to the winning bid.
The winning bidder will receive a maximum of 2 shipments. Arrangements after the receipt of 2 shipments must be made with the stallion owner/breeding agent at which time additional booking and collection fees will be assessed to the winning bidder/mare owner.
Live Foal Guarantee policies will be in affect for donated stallions offering fresh cooled semen per the stallion owner’s/breeding agent’s contract.
Bidders are strongly advised to obtain a copy of the stallion owner’s Breeding contract prior to submitting a bid to find out servicing terms, availability dates and stallion service contracts.

Frozen - No Live Foal Guarantee

The minimum bid is $450.00.
This bid will cover all booking and handling fees for the donated stallion.
The winning bidder will be responsible for shipping and container fees in addition to the winning bid.
The purchase of a stallion service provides that mares will be for two breeding doses of frozen semen (except where noted).
Arrangements for storage must be made with the stallion owner/breeding agent.
Live Foal Guarantee policies will not be in affect for donated stallions offering frozen semen per the stallion owner’s/breeding agent’s contract.

Auction Incentives

Free Registration for Highest Bid - The KWPN-NA is offering a free foal registration for the winner of the highest bid received in the 2010 Stallion Service Auction. The free registration will be for the foal registered in 2010, resulting from that auction bid.

$250 High Score Award – A $250 premium will be awarded to the owner of the highest scoring foal in the 2011 keuring resulting from a wining bid from the KWPN-NA stallion service auction of the previous year. This award is valid only for foals born in 2010, and scoring over 65 points.

Winning bidders will be notified by phone or email on February 18, 2010.

By submitting the Auction Registration the bidder acknowledges that he/she has read and agrees to the auction rules set forth in the 2010 Stallion Service Auction Agreement.
