Stallion Station van Manen announces sale of Special D to U.S.
The black Métall son was bred by A.B.M. van Driel-Daal, out of the ster preferent Haafke by Zandigo. He was approved in 2002 with three 8.5s for gaits. In 2003, he won the Pavo Cup of 4-year olds and he made it to the finals of the World Championships in Verden. With Diederik van Silfhout he competed in the Light Tour.
Special D sired two approved sons, Zanzibar and Andretto, as well as various mares that were selected for the national Mare Championships and that had good IBOP Scores. Special D also appeared to be a good match for Gleders breeding. Daughters Brenda and Elvera van de Rodeland both out of a mare by Walser) were both Dutch champions.
His oldest offspring are making a name for themselves in sport. Daughters Ziniki (ds. Purioso) and Zaffier (ds. Renovo), as well as son Andor (ds. Darwin) are competing in the Light Tour. Zavita (ds. Jazz) and Aimable (ds. Ariban) competed ZZ-heavy.
