Iron Spring Farm welcomes a New Black KWPN Stallion: Kaiman (Dark Pleasure x Gribaldi x Krack C)!
Their press release this morning reads:

“Iron Spring Farm is pleased to welcome the six-year-old KWPN stallion Kaiman to the farm. The beautiful black stallion was designated premium at his KWPN stallion show and finished third overall with 84 total points at the 2019 KWPN stallion performance test in Ermelo. In 2018, he finished in fourth place in the VSN Trophy Finals, a talent spotting competition for three-year-old dressage horses. In 2020, Kaiman was on the Dutch team’s long list for the World Championships for Young Horses. His first foals arrived this year.

With 8.5s on his trot, canter, elasticity, balance, rideability, talent as a dressage horse, and an 8.0 on his walk, Kaiman is the full package. “Kaiman gives a very nice and comfortable feeling under the saddle,” says rider Dinja van Liere. “He is very sweet and always focused on his rider. He always gives his best.”

Kaiman demonstrates self-carriage, balance and suppleness in all three gaits. His walk is pure, active and has good scope. His trot is supple with good cadence. “I think he is best in the canter. He already has very nice changes,” van Liere says. The 16.2 hand stallion is known around the barn for his good attitude, kind nature and willingness to work. “In the stable he’s very cuddly and relaxed. He likes sugar cubes and attention,” van Liere explains.

Kaiman comes from strong dressage bloodlines. His sire, Dark Pleasure, was a successful small tour horse who carries the Olympic genes of Ferro, Preferent. Kaiman’s mother is the Elite, Preferent mare Franciska, a daughter of the Grand Prix legend Gribaldi and a granddaughter of Grand Prix standout Krack C, who’s also known as an important damsire. Franciska is a full sister of the small tour horse Eye Catcher and a half-sister to Geronimo, who’s competing at the ZZ-Zwaar level. The Approved KWPN stallions Redford and Foundation come from the same family. With all that Grand Prix talent, Kaiman will add movement, suppleness, rideability and good character for your next dressage prospect.

Kaiman and ISF’s other young stallion Lowlands will continue their training with van Liere in the Netherlands. Iron Spring Farm found both stallions through Reesink Horses. Congratulations to Iron Spring Farm and everyone involved!
