The KWPN approved Trakehner stallion Gribaldi has died. Gribaldi recently earned the preferent predicate and is the sire of Moorlands Totilas and IPS Painted Black . “With very great pain and sadness in our heart we had to say goodbye to Gribaldi today” is on the website of Edward Gal. A tear in his aorta eventually became fatal. The stallion was 16 years old.

Only nine days ago, Gribaldi (v. Kostolany) bade a superb farewell to the sport during the stallion in Den Bosch. The stallion was very successful in the Grand Prix dressage. His sons Moorlands Totilas, IPS Painted Black and Bodyguard, who was approved last year, are all world-class horses. Of the 707 mares that were accepted into the studbook, a minimum of 332 earned the star designation, a very high percentage of 46%.
