We begin our 2017 KWPN-NA Keuring tour on September 1, at the well equipped facility Black Star Sport Horses. Host Lisa Blackmon made every effort to increase the entries , but regretfully due to the recent hurricane in Texas, there were many scratches.
The 3y old gelding Jumani (Johnson Keur x Nirvana Ster Preferent by Fleming; Owner/ Breeder: Larry & Kathy Childs of Crooked Post Farm) was awarded with the High Point score of the keuring.  This tall, uphill built and long lined gelding showed a really well balanced canter with good suspension (scoring 80). Jumani uses his long muscled neck well and has good technique in trot. With 75 conformation and 75 movement this gelding earned his ster predicate. His dam Nirvana, proves herself with her offspring; she also produced last year’s Champion Jumper foal by Goodtimes.

The yearling Lincoln (Expression x Diene R Elite EPTM-DR by Uphill; Owner: Danielle Criswell, Breeder: Jennifer Zauel) is a long lined and long legged dressage gelding. He shows good articulation and suspension in his active trot. His neck has very good length and shape, but could be more muscled at this moment. He was awarded High Score young Dressage horse.

The high score ribbon for the Harness horses was earned by Majesteit -PH (Governor ZE x Charisma Keur by Vaandrager; Owner/ Breeder: Douwe Plantinga). This elegant filly has a supple way of moving with sufficient action in the foreleg and an active use of her hindleg.
