THE KWPN-NA ORGANIZES A STALLION OFFSPRING FUTURITY FOR FOALS & YEARLINGS EVERY YEAR DURING THE KEURING TOUR.
These are the rules of the game:
The Futurity is open to all “Foal Book” and “Register A” KWPN-NA registered foals and yearlings bred, owned, and residing in North America.
Foals and yearlings must be entered at the same time they sign up for inspection. You enter for the futurity on the keuring entry form.All nominated foal and yearling inspection scores will determine final placing. Separate rankings for foals & yearlings.Offspring sired by stallions participating in the SSA the year of breeding will get FREE ENTRY to the Futurity. (click HERE for a list)
A $35 entry fee applies for foals or yearlings from stallions that did not participate in the SSA the year of their breeding.Total prize fund is $10,000, allocated from the proceeds of the Stallion Service Auction.Proceeds from entry fees are added to the prize fund (minus 10% for administrative expenses)The Futurity will include the following divisions for each official breeding direction of the KWPN-NA, so there are 10 groups:- Dressage Horses – foals & yearlings
- Jumpers – foals & yearlings
- Hunters — foals & yearlings
- Harness Horses – foals & yearlings
- Gelders Horses – foals & yearlings
No minimum number of entries per division.The foals and yearlings need to have a minimum score of 70 to qualify for an award.Payout to first 3 places in each group (Owner 56% & Breeder 44%) -> owners that are not the breeder, make sure the foal or yearling is registered in your name!All ties will be split equally.The owner of a stallion that participated in the SSA, and whose foals placed in the top 3 will receive a plaque as recognition.The highest scoring foal and yearling will receive a ribbon.
