New protocol is in effect for the Stallion Show. During the second round, stallions are picked for the third round. Rather than waiting until Saturday, the third round now follows the second round each day. On Wednesday the Jumping Committee selected 21 stallions (of 23) for the performance test. The second group of jumpers will be seen on Thursday and is followed by the Jumper Championship Keuring.

Today, only one stallion was invited to the Championship. Nr. 219 Horido (Sir Shutterfly x Chin Chin) bred by GJ Kappert and owned by Lauw van Vliet and Hans van der Louw was impressive on all fronts. The dark bay has beautiful long lines, has a great canter and left little to be desired while free jumping.

Only two stallions were not selected to go on. Among them was the great jumper athlete Happy (Sir Shutterfly x Lincoln), bred by owner Albert Zoer. According to Cor Loeffen, chairman of the jumper committee, remarks about his conformation, especially the topline, were the reason.
