The final presentation of the spring performance test started with the older jumper stallions, after which the three-year-old stallions were presented in the ring in groups.

In the end, the Stallion Selection Committee registered 17 jumper stallions in the Studbook. Remarkably, a relatively high percentage of these were approved with 80 or more points. Cor Loeffen, Chairman of the Stallion Selection Committee for jumpers, expressed his satisfaction: “The strength lies in the breadth, with many different types and lineages, which we’re giving breeders opportunities to use. I don’t think we’ve ever had so many stallions that scored 80 points or more in the test.”

Although there weren’t any major outliers, the Comme Il Faut son Hermantico, bred by M. Renzel of Oer-Erkenschwick, scored the most points: 83.5. Loeffen described him as “a stallion with abundant stallion presence, interesting sires of sires, and a dam-line with lots of sport. In the performance test, he showed consistently, with a good canter and abundant push over obstacles.

He moves with abundant power and excellent carriage,” said Wim Ernes, Chairman of the Stallion Selection Committee for dressage horses. “It’s a somewhat smaller group than last year, but percentage-wise, we’re not disappointed with the stallions we were able to approve after the test.”

Following the jumper stallions, the Gelder stallions were presented under saddle for their final evaluation in dressage and jumping. After the dressage stallion presentation, the two Gelder stallions entered the ring for their in-harness evaluation. Both were subsequently registered in the Studbook. While Henkie was noted for his good basic gaits, Edmundo was praised for his outstanding willingness and desire to work.
