“We saw good groups of stallions, and the offspring of Alicante, Arezzo, Carambole, and Verdi made an especially good impression” said Daan Nanning upon conclusion of the second round.

Among the stallions advanced to the third round viewing were four of the five Carambole sons and three sons by Alicante HBC. “It was a really nice day, and we’ll select further on Saturday. In general, we’d rather give a stallion too many chances than too few,” Nanning added.

Among the remarkable jumper stallions of the day were Fabio (Up to Date out of Vrouwe Bureveld elite IBOP-jump s.Burggraaf, b/rp: N.W.J. Duineveld of Hem), First (Cardento out of Serdita ster pref s.Nimmerdor, b/rp: VDL Stud of Bears and Arend van Ittersum of Winsum), Ferdino (Verdi out of Votti Lottie ster prok s.Fuego de Prelet, breeder: the Weernink/Waller Diemond combination of Neede), Farfan M (Cantos out of Nikita ster prest s.Lux, breeder: J.C. Mailly of Boijl), and Fly High Fortuna HBC (Alicante HBC out of Bellebantha Fortuna s.Memphis, breeders: P. and A.M. Rinkes of Pesse).
