KWPN stallion Colonist now in U.S.
Colonist, co-owned by Wim Cazemier and the Van Manen brothers, is a son of the watch listed Vulcano (Manno x Izandra keur pref by Renovo). Wim Cazemier bred Colonist out of Velony II, a star daughter of Patijn, and stood the stallion at stud.
Colonist was approved as a four-year old with high scores in his performance test. He bred 49 mares in that first year and was the sire of 40 offspring in 2012. His status was maintained for breeding in 2012 based on the 13 foals shown in the offspring inspection. He also participated in sport and earned 36 winning points. In 2011 he was the reserve champion of the FSP (Breeding Stimulus Plan).
