The first Keuring of the second 2024 tour started in Washington State with jury members Floor Dröge  & Arie Hamoen.  Oakjen Farm is a nice new location for us, and we were warmly welcomed by the host, Linda Kindle.   We saw some nice horses, and they were well presented by the handlers Marcel and Stefan.   We ended the day with a nice lunch and talks with the breeders. Hope to see everyone back next year!

Stb/Ster 3 Year Old – Dressage

RAVIDAZA V  (Gaudi x Idaza DG PROK by UB 40 PROK, BREEDER/OWNER: Sanna Cooper)  A mare with a nice expression and a good eye.  Her neck is well shaped and she has a correct foundation, however she could have a bit more development.  Her walk is active with a good rhythm, yet she could be more supple with more overtrack.   Congrats to this new ster mare!

Stb/Ster 4-to-7 Years –  Dressage

MYSTIQUE DES D-OC (Guardian S x Garala IBOP-(dres), PROK by Uphill,  BREEDER: J.H.M. MAAS, OWNER: Renee and Richard Chong)  A well developed mare, she could have a bit more length in everything,  but she has good proportions. Her neck is well shaped and the topline is strong.  Her foundation from the side is correct, however from the front she stands a bit toed in. She has an active walk with a good rhythm but could have more overtrack. The trot has a really powerful hindleg and a good balance, but the front leg could come more out of the shoulder. The canter is powerful with a lot of balance and technique. She has easy changes and is easily collected.  She is also the mother of today’s High Score Young Dressage horse.  Congrats to this new Ster, Keur Eligible mare!

Young Horse Classes:

Foals/Weanlings – Dressage:

UPPERCUT DES (For Romance x Mystique DES D-OC by Guardian S, BREEDER/OWNER: Renee and Richard Chong).  A good type with a lot of stallion expression; he shows a well muscled front and a correct foundation.  At the moment the back is a bit low.  He moves with a lot of posture and suppleness. In the trot he has an expressive use of the front leg but the hindleg could have a bit more reflex. The canter is really good, with a lot of leg technique, suppleness and balance. A real showboy!  High score Young Dressage, Congrats!

Foals/Weanlings – Jumper:

UISCE BEATHA D’AUBRY  (Utopie x Labelle D’Aubry by Casall, BREEDER/OWNER: Natasha Campbell) A strongly built foal with sufficient development and good muscling.  He has a remarkable canter with good mechanics and lots of balance.  High score Young Jumper, Congrats!
