Good Morning from the Bluegrass! Today we find ourselves at the well equipped Spy Coast Farm in Lexington, KY.
Thank you to our host Kelly Gage for an outstanding job organizing this large keuring.

First & Second Premium awards are given to horses that exceed and/ or meet the KWPNs high breed standards, and we are grateful to the owners and breeders for showing them to us. Not all first premium or ster horses are mentioned in ‘The Report from the Road ‘, only those horses that really stand out to the jury.

Dressage Mares for Studbook/Ster 4-7 YO:

Marley JP – (Glamourdale x Aretha Franklin JP s.Sir Sinclair keur)
Owner/Breeder: Peggy Mills, JP Farm
This daughter of FEI double World Champion Glamourdale is a correctly built, expressive and refined type, however she could be buildt more uphill.  She has good use of the neck, sufficient articulation and power in trot. The canter is balanced but could be longer strided.  She becomes a ster mare today. 

Mia Zarma TF – (Glamourdale x Ilbria Zarma TF D-OC s. Voice)
Owner/Breeder: KC Dunn,  Timbach Farm
A second daughter of top stallion Glamourdale, Mia Zarma TF is a correct dressage type, however she could be more refined and expressive. She passes her IBOP today showing a good active walk, a trot that showed sufficient balance and sufficient length of stride, with a canter that is uphill and carrying. She also wins the DG Bar Cup for 5/6YO’s. Congratulations to this new ster mare. 

Dressage Mares for Studbook/Ster 8 and Older:

Emora MG D-OC – (Farrington keur x Tamora keur s.Flemmingh pref)

A long lined, well developed, well proportioned dressage horse with high and long withers.    Shows a good front with a clear walk, sufficient power in trot, and a light footed, well balanced canter with easy changes.  Congratulations to this ster, keur eligible mare.

Gelders Mares for Studbook/Ster 8 and Older:

Jenuka – (Charmeur x Vienna prest s.Paddox)

Breeder: Inspo Inc.
Jenuka is a good gelders type.  She is well muscled, has a very long, vertical neck, but is somewhat roached in the loins.  The walk and canter should be longer strided, but a very powerful, and expressive trot with good suspension, articulation and good use of neck.  Congratulations to this ster, keur eligible mare.

A colt that is very well developed, longlined, well muscled, and a very good gelders type.  Red One impressed today with his very powerful and supple movement, very good knee and reach with a well balanced, long strided and powerful canter. A movement score of 88, will he be bested on the rest of the tour?  1st Premium

A repeat cross of our top yearling, Sebastian B is long lined with a well muscled neck, a good topline and overall a  good gelders type.  He is powerful,  with good length of stride, good knee and shoulder freedom.  1st Premium

This is a well muscled, well proportioned colt who could be longer lined.  He is athletic with a supple canter with good balance and power.  1st Premium
