On the first dressage day, 21 of 26 stallions invited to the third round were selected for the performance test. The keuring was off to a good start with offspring from Apache, charmeur, Jazz, Johnson and Wynton. Leader Apache did not disappoint and five of his sons were selected for the performance test. The Charmeur sons also proved themselves and three will go on to the test. The Dressage Committee felt it was a good day and that they were able to select some stallions with varied bloodlines. The stallion’s conformation was positive and they were able to select on uphill movement with ability for transitions, gaits – including the walk, something important in the sport.

Six stallions were invited to the championship, which will take place on Saturday.
