The KWPN-NA goes Dutch – Join us on a trip to the Netherlands in January 2026
The KWPN-NA goes Dutch!
Join us on a fantastic trip to The Netherlands for exclusive farm visits, interesting educational tours and to go to the KWPN Stallion Show as a group. All English speaking KWPN Sport horse enthusiasts are welcome to join us. This visit is organized by the KWPN-NA together with the KWPN and will take place from January 26-31, 2026. Book your tickets through our sign up form, click the button below. Our office will contact you for more details and to settle the payment. In the sign up form you will also find a discount booking code for the hotel.
Make sure you sign up before December 10th!
After this date we cannot guarantee discounted roomrates, seats available at our Stallion Show tables or on the tourbus.
THE PROGRAM
Monday the 26th:
- In the morning we visit the KWPN Headquarters in Ermelo for a presentation on judging at the Keuring tour. Inspectors explain linear scoring and we will learn all about the EPTM mare test, and watch the current group of EPTM participants live! After the presentations, the KWPN organized a lunch for us.
- In the afternoon we visit Team Nijhof Team Nijhof and Willem Greve Willem Greve Sportpaarden in Geesteren. We get a tour and presentation after which top rider Willem Greve will present several stallions, also under saddle. You will have plenty of time to admire the famous stallions and ask Willem and the Nijhof team questions.
Tuesday the 27th:
- In the morning we will visit the University Veterinary Clinic in Utrecht. We will get an interesting lecture on fertility and breeding science and learn more on the latest Dutch Veterinary research projects.
- In the afternoon, we will visit Van de Sande stables Stal van de Sande in Liempde. Founder and owner Peter van de Sande will share his breeding vision and strategy. We will then enjoy a presentation of van de Sande’s homebred Grand Prix stallion For Ferrero and rider Lina Uzunhasan (USA) and other van de Sande stallions.
- In the evening, we will have a welcome reception at the hotel, sponsored by KWPN-NA (members and invitees only).
Wednesday the 28th & Thursday the 29th:
- on Wednesday and Thursday, we will visit the KWPN Stallion show as a group. We have special designated VIP tables reserved on a perfect location. Translation headsets are included in the tickets. Several judges will be translating live for you on the headsets and will come join us at our tables. The second viewing of the showjumping stallions takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday, as well as the Stallion Competition, the VHO Trophy, special presentations, award ceremonies and shows around showjumping and the KWPN Select Sale Auction.
- In the evening of the 28th, there will be a very interesting Showjumping Breeders Seminar to attend and in the evening of the 29th, a special Seminar for Dressage Breeders. Both seminars have internationally renowned speakers and are all in English. Make sure you book tickets for them too!
Friday the 30th & Saturday the 31st:
- on Friday & Saturday, it’s time for the Dressage, Gelders & Harness stallions. The second viewings take place these days, as well as the Dressage & Gelders Stallion Competitions, the Oregon Trophy for Approved Harness stallions, presentation of previously approved stallions, a Dressage & Gelders stallion show block with awards ceremonies and of course the KWPN Select Sale Auction.
The sign up deadline is December 10th.
After that date, we cannot guarantee seats on the tourbus, at our VIP tables and the discounted hotel price.
