Another new location for us this year in California!  We received a warm welcome from Josh Albrecht and his family at their wonderful facility in Oroville.  Everything was very well organized and the facilities was really nice for the horses to present themselves in a good way.  We had a big number of entries and enthusiastic members.  It was a pleasure to be there, and thanks to the Albrecht family for having us.

Stb/Ster 3 Year Old – Dressage:

QUELLENPERLE SL PROK (Vitalis x Quellenzauber by For Romance II, BREEDER: : STEFANIE LOHMAN, OWNER:  ADRIAN WARD)  Thi is a well developed mare with a strong body and well shaped forehand.   She showed a really nice walk with activity, clear rhythm and good overtrack.   Her trot is active with technique in the legs, but she could gain a bit more strength.  The canter is well balanced; she doesn’t need the speed and yet she has a good technique.  Nicely presented!  High Score Dressage horse, and she also earns her Ster and Keur Eligible predicates today, and with her very good passing IBOP score of 80 and her healthy PROK evaluation, she becomes Elite! Also winner of the 3 YO DG Bar Cup.  Congratulations on all of your success today!

REAH CCE (L Primo DG Ster, PROK, IBOP (dr), D-OC x Indea KS Elite, sport (dr), IBOP (dr) by Charmeur, BREEDER: Coalcyn Equestrian, OWNER: LAUREN CARLTON) Rhea is a mare that doesn’t have the biggest height,  but as soon as she starts moving you forget it.  Her walk is active with enough overtrack.  Her trot and canter show a lot of mechanics, with an  uphill tendency and suspension.  She also shows expressive use of the front leg.  Congrats to this new Ster, Keur Eligible mare!

Foals/Weanlings – Dressage:

UNDER MY SPELL CCE (Le Formidable x Donna Eden by Don Schufro, BREEDER/OWNER: Coalcyn Equestrian)  A real princess!  She is elegant, long lined with good proportions and a strong topline. The walk is supple and with good ground cover, the trot is light footed with technique and posture. She could gain a bit more power from the hind leg. Her canter shows a  good length of stride and balance.

UNIMAGINABLE CCE  (Sanceo x Donna Eden by Don Schufro,  BREEDER/OWNER: Coalcyn Equestrian)  The mother of this colt is the sister of the approved stallion Iron and had 4 offspring presented today! Same mother as aforementioned  UNDER MY SPELL CCE, so nice to mention the mare as well we think!   The foal has a good type with a well shaped neck. The hindleg is a bit long. The walk is really good; it is active and supple with a good overtrack. The Trot and canter have a good use of the hindleg and are light footed.

Yearlings – Dressage:

TWISTED INTENTIONS CCE  (L Primo DG ster PROK IBOP (dr) D-OC x Indea KS elite sport (dr) IBOP (dr) by Charmeur, BREEDER/OWNER: Coalcyn Equestrian)   Well developed and of good type, however the neck is a bit deep from the chest.   He has a strong topline and foundation. The walk has a good rhythm and overtrack and the trot is elegant and light footed. He could gain a bit more strength in the hindleg.  He showed a really easy canter with lots of balance and good mechanics.  High score Young Dressage, Congrats!
