Profile Updated: 2025
The eye-catching black stallion Jayson has much to offer beyond his good looks. He also has an FEI pedigree filled with top performers that will catch any dressage breeder’s attention. His sire is Johnson who had an impressive career including the World Equestrian Games, Olympics, and European Championships and he is ranked #2 on the WBFSH Dressage Sire rankings for 2021. Grandsire Jazz stands at the top of the KWPN rankings for dressage stallions and is ranked #3 on the WBFSH standings. Jayson’s dam, Zamora B, has been exceptional producer with two licensed stallions, and Elite and Ster mares. Zamora’s oldest offspring Esperanto was winner of the USDF Region 1 Intermediate I Open Championship and Reserve Champion at Prix St. Georges in 2021, after making his FEI debut at the CDI1* at Dressage at Devon. Jayson’s damsire, the revered stallion Negro, has proven his reliability as a sire and damsire of many Grand Prix horses.

Jayson convincingly won his initial Stallion Test and went on to complete the KWPN Short Test in the fall of 2018 earning 9s for rideability and attitude. Jayson placed well in the PAVO Cup Finals and was selected for the 2020 FEI World Championships for Young Horses. In 2024 he made his CDI small tour debut with Charlotte Fry. His first foals have impressed in both Holland and the US with their modern type and strong movement. The KWPN recommendations say that Jayson can add size, rideability and attitude to dressage horse breeding as well as suppleness, strength and carriage in movement.
