At the well-equipped and beautiful facilities of Iron Spring Farm the Keuring of Pennsylvania was held.
In the championships for the dressage foals, the High score and Champion of this keuring was awarded to Oxford ISF (Vitalis x La Belladonna by Hofrat, Owner/Breeder: Iron Spring Farm). This modern, correctly built colt has an expressive forehand and shows very good body use in his gaits. His walk is clear, active and long strided. His trot is very athletic, light footed and has very good articulation and suspension. His supple canter is well balanced, powerful and long strided. With a score of 86 for his movement, he has earned the 2nd place in the country so far. Also invited to the Championship ring was the well proportioned son of Contango, called Otango ISF (Contango x Cayenne W D-OC by Carabas, Owner/Breeder: Iron Spring Farm). Otango is powerful and has three good gaits with very good articulation and mechanics.
Best yearling was the son of Sir Sinclair, Nureyev ISF (Sir Sinclair x Ballerina Ceroon elite sport (dp) D-OC by Oscar, Owner/ Breeder: Iron Spring Farm). This long lined and very well developed youngster has an athletic, well proportioned body. He is light footed and shows good technique in his legs with good suspension.
The 14 year old Dressage mare Armante sport (Contango x Romante elite by Welt Hit II , Owner: Natalie Miller, Breeder: Loucky Hagens-Groosman) already has a good show record at I1 dressage. This long lined, well muscled mare has a long, well shaped neck and a powerful body. In movement she is powerful with good use of her hindleg. These qualities earned her the keur predicate today and also awarding her with the high score adult dressage horse.
High score young Hunter was awarded to the colt Ovation (Sir Sinclair x Willow by Consul, Owner/Breeder: Ruth Ann Kershaw, Indigo Farm Sport Horses). This elegant, well proportioned colt is very expressive in his type , with a long, well muscled neck, good topline and very correct lean legs. In movement he is light footed and supple , with a very good use of his front leg for a hunter. With a 80 overall score he is the leading hunter foal in the country so far.
First place at the yearling hunter class was earned by Nikita (Uno Don Diego x Fiona by Laroche, Owner: Jessica Patterson, Breeder: Ruth Ann Kershaw ). This mare has a good hunter type, with good muscling in her topline. Her movement is supple with sufficient length of stride.
In the IBOP Dressage class, the 3 year old mare Leeloo Dallas (Gaspard de la Nuit DG x Voque by Negro, Owner: Lauren Chumley, Breeder: Racheal Redman), impressed the judges with her rideability (scoring a 9) she has a good technique in all her gaits, with sufficient length of stride. Especially her trot is active and supple with a good use of her hindleg. Leeloo Dallas was very focused the whole test and had a steady and light connection to the bridle. She earned a 78,5 in her IBOP and the DG Bar Cup.
The 3y old jumper mare Love Child SCF (Canabis Z x Marie Louise elite pref prest by Silvio I, Owner/Breeder: Dr. Carlos and Karin Jimenez, Sporting Chance Farm), earned her keur predicate today. This well developed and correctly built mare earned herself a 79 in her jumping IBOP. Love Child SCF is very willing and likes to jump. She did a very consistent performance, with her well balanced canter. This mare has an upwards and powerful take off, seems to be careful and jumps with good reflexes. But especially her attitude and her willingness were striking. In the Global Equine Sires cup Love Child earned a 77,5.
The 5 year old ster gelding Jenuine Legacy MF (Emilion x Canasta by Burggraaf, Owner; Joanna Hagen, Breeder: Greg Michalson) did a convincing IBOP and GES cup for 5-8 years old. This athletic gelding has a well balanced, long strided, adjustable canter. He has a powerful and upwards take off, seems to be careful and scopey and jumps with good technique and body use. With an overall score of 84,5 as well in his IBOP and GES cup he impressed the judges and the audience.
The DG Bar Cup for 4 year olds was won by the ster gelding Kyro (Glamourdale x Prisca Gerida keur by Jazz, Owner: Christopher Preston, Breeder: J. Hermanussen). Kyro has a good front in trot and especially his canter is light footed, active, well balanced and long strided with good use of his body.
