Five jumper stallions and three dressage stallions pass the performance test.
Yesterday, the remaining stallions were presented under saddle individually by their training riders. Then, the stallions were shown in-hand in the ring, after which the Chair of the Stallion Selection Committee announced the results.

To begin, Biscayo (Contendro I x Lux) was registered with 78.5 points and was noted for his good form and scope. His half-brother Brainpower (Contendro I x Guidam) was approved with 88.5 points, which included four scores of 9. The stallion developed very well over the course of the test and showed very good form and reflexes. The third approved jumper was Bodinus. The Padinus (ds. Namelus R) son drew praise for his body use and reflexes, easily passing the test with 83 points. Fourth was Bernini (Vigo ‘d Arsouilles x Quick Star), who comes out of a good line and gave his riders a very good feel over jumps. He was approved with 82.5 points.

For the first time, the Committee exercised the new rule which allows stallions from the VION Cup or Pavo Cup to be referred directly to the performance test. As a result, Chellthago Z (Chellano Z x Carthago ) was the fifth jumper to be approved. The stallion performed an overall good test and received 82 points. Three dressage stallions were registered in the Studbook. Among them was Breezer (a Johnson son out of a dam by Sultan) who performed well in each evaluation. Because of his attitude, willingness, and rider evaluations, the Committee awarded Breezer 78.5 points. Second was Bordeaux (United x Gribaldi), a very balanced stallion with an excellent canter. With a score of 82 points, the 2008 Stallion Show Champion was granted approval. The third dressage stallion approved was Bojengel (Uptown x Gribaldi, 81 points), a horse which may not have the greatest hock articulation but is very nice to ride. He has correct basic gaits and a particularly good walk.
