The words “elite performer” are synonymous with the Roosakker line. Erco’s granddam, Usha van’t Roosakker, is a performance and breeding legend, a trait that she has passed on to her direct offspring and grandoffspring. Usha van’t Roosakker competed at the 1.50m level and is by the influential Chin Chin. She produced three licensed stallions and five 1.50m/1.60m horses. Her daughter Babbe van’t Roosakker (Kannan), the dam of Erco, jumped to 1.60m and so far has produced five 1.50m/1.60m competitors to date. Erco has continued this line of elite performance by successfully competing over some of the largest tracks in the world with both professional and amateur riders: Daniel Deusser (GER) 1.60m, Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) 1.60m, Petronella Andersson (SWE) 1.45m, Jonna Ekberg (SWE) 1.55m, Addison Gierkink 1.45m (USA). Usha van’t Roosakker and her progeny have produced 46 1.50m/1.60m showjumpers to date!
Rounding out Erco’s pedigree as his sire, is the one and only Darco, who competed in the 1992 Olympics and led the WBFSH Stallion Rankings for five years in a row. Erco is a combination of the sport’s most proven bloodlines and he is the perfect blend of their best characteristics.
