After winning the silver medal at the European Championships and many other international dressage wins during 2009, the KWPN has granted Totilas Erkend status for his success at the highest level of competition.

Although Moorland’s Totilas will not be bred while he is in competition, this means that future foals will be registered in the KWPN Foalbook. The stallion’s veterinary report will be published in IDS at a later date.

The black Gribaldi son is out of the renowned Freiminka-line, which has produced many sport horses. In addition to his excellent bloodlines, Totilas has demonstrated exceptional talent for dressage. In 2005, he finished fourth in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in the five-year-old division. Later, Edward Gal took over the reins and carefully continued training the stallion. So far in 2009, he has emerged the winner in Zwolle, De Steeg, and Rotterdam. And this past week he has exceeded expectations with his silver medal win in the Grand Prix Spécial at the European Championships in Windsor.
