KWPN NewsKWPN hires new full-time InspectorAs of June 1 Henk Dirksen (33) from Tirns (Friesland) will be employed full time by the KWPN as an inspector. Besides the main national duties in the evaluations of mares and advising breeders on stallion choices, Henk will be the regional inspector for three regions. He has been the regional inspector of Utrecht since 2004, and the regional inspector for Flevoland since 2008. These duties will remain and the regional inspectorship for Overijssel will be added. He will give up his role as a member of the jumping stallion re-keuring committee. Henk has been involved in KWPN breeding from childhood and is himself an active breeder. Together with his wife, he has a number of broodmares including Tersina (keur sport by Ahorn) from the Sina line and Solaris (keur by Guidam). He breeds a few foals each year to prepare for the sport. After studying at the Higher Agricultural School he gained experiene as a KWPN jury member and inspector for a horse insurance company. |
